Referrals

A core part of the services we provide as part of the Forestry Assistance Program (FAP) are the referrals of landowners to professional entities in the public and private sectors. The goal of this service is to help these landowners find an industry professional that they can work with to accomplish their goals and objectives on their lands. The Referrals Process

When landowner reaches out to the FAP Forester seeking assistance with the accomplishment of some form of land management, the following process starts.

1. After collecting the needed information from the landowner (via email, phone, and site visits as necessary), the FAP Forester will send out a request to professional public and private entities via email and online means, who provide services relevant to that what is being requested by the landowner. This is the referral request

   – None of the landowner’s personal information (name, address, etc.) shall be included within this referral request

2. When an entity wants to accept the request and take on the job, they shall contact the FAP Forester directly and express their interest.

3. The FAP Forester will then contact the landowner and inform them of the interested entity and provide them with the entity’s contact information by either email or physical mail.

4. The landowner then contacts the interested entity(ies) directly and works with them to get the desired goals accomplished.

   – The landowner can still communicate with the FAP Forester and ask any questions that they may have.
